Terms & Conditions

1. Engaging with Ignite Music

a. The Client commits to ongoing Terms of Lessons being provided by Ignite Music. Ignite Music will automatically re-invoice for each subsequent Term, without the requirement of the Client advising Ignite Music that the Lessons should continue into the forthcoming Term, unless appropriate notice is given (see point 3, “cancellations of lessons”).

b. The Client understands that the services of Ignite Music are sold and Billed as Full-Terms which are billed based on the number of weeks in each term. Unless arranged differently, each week comprises of at least one lesson, at the same time and on the same day.

c. The initial invoice shall be dated from the commencement date of the first lesson through to the final week of term.

d. Subsequent billing will transpire within two weeks (14 days) of the start of the new term.

e. Invoices are due and payable within two weeks (14 days) of the invoice issue date.

f. Clients that are unable to pay on time should contact Ignite Music Admin to make alternate arrangements.

g. Ignite Music reserves the right to cease service if The Client does not honour the due date of payments specified in our Terms and Conditions.

 

2. Make-up Credits and Make-up Lessons

a. Lessons are never rescheduled without appropriate notice, however, should the Client or Student notify the Ignite Music admin team by email or text, no later than 9:00am on the day of their lesson (8:00am for Saturday and Sunday lessons), that they are unable to attend the lesson, then a Make-up Credit will be provided by Ignite Music.

b. If sufficient notice is not provided (prior to 9am weekdays and 8am weekends), The Client understands this lesson will be forfeited.

c. Make-up credits expire on the 1st of February the following year to when they were issued.

d. Make-up Credits can be used to book make-up Lessons throughout the term or over the school holidays, but only up until the 1st of February the following year to when the make-up credit was issued.

e. Make-up Credits are not issued against cancelled make-up Lessons and nor may cancelled or unattended Make-up Lessons be rescheduled for any reason.

f. Ignite Music will endeavour to do its best to secure the regular teacher for make-up Lessons but this cannot be guaranteed. Make-up lessons may be booked in with any of the Ignite Music teacher staff.

g. The Client agrees to a minimum of 70% attendance rate for the normal lessons of a term. Therefore, no more than three Make- up Credits can be provided per term. Missed lessons to an extent of more than three per term are forfeited completely.

h. Make-up Credits are not available for Group Lessons. As such, if a student is unable to attend a group session, the session is forfeited totally, no matter the notice provided. If a band session is cancelled at the fault of Ignite Music, the missed session will be credited from your next invoice or refunded on a case by case basis.

i. Should a lesson not transpire as scheduled, not to the fault of The Student, such as teacher absences or a disruption beyond the direct control of Ignite Music etc, Ignite Music will undertake its best effort to rectify the situation such as to provide a replacement teacher, otherwise a make-up credit shall be issued. Ignite Music will always work with their clients to find the best solution that suits everyone.

j. Make up credits do not have a monetary value and as such are not able to be subtracted from the value of any next invoice.

3. Cancellations of Lessons / Disengaging with Ignite Music

a. Except for the initial invoice, all subsequent lessons are purchased and paid for in blocks of full terms and as such, lessons not attended by the student shall not reduce the value of the invoice for the term.

b. The Client may cancel this agreement simply by notifying Ignite Music by written notice via email at least 14 days prior to the commencement of the 1st lesson of a new term.

c. Under no circumstances are refunds available.

 

4. Lacking Service

a. The only valid reason for any cancellation that can affect the value of an Ignite Music invoice to The Client shall be unsatisfactory service by Ignite Music.

b. In the event that the Client feels that the service of Ignite Music is lacking in any way and wishes to avoid paying for any number of lessons, The Client should set up and attend a meeting with an Ignite Music Manager (not Teacher) who will try to resolve the issue.

c. Should Ignite Music advise The Client that it is unable to provide the service that it should be able to provide in the usual course of business, Ignite Music shall provide the relevant monetary credit to the client. The balance of the Invoice shall remain payable and be settled in full within 7 days of the credit.

 

5. General:

a. Ignite Music reserves the right to deny or cease provision of any service to or with any Client, for any reason whatsoever.

b. If The Student is under the age of 18, a Parent/guardian signature herewith is full consent to The Student attending the Lessons of Ignite Music.

c. Ignite Music does not take any responsibility for students before or after lessons. Parents are required to ensure that Students arrive and leave the premises safely, appropriately and with consideration to other patrons.

d. Ignite Music reserves the right to alter these T’s & C’s at its discretion and with immediate effect however, on receipt of such notice, Clients can elect in writing to effect immunity, for one full calendar month, to the changed terms/aspects of T’s & C’s and which would enable the Client to issue notice as per point 3.b (14 days).

e. The free trial lesson, if offered, is limited to one free lesson per student.
