Brad - Guitar / Bass / Drums / Music production.

Brad Ferreira is the director of Ignite Music. He has been playing music for 20 years and teaching for the last 14. After completing his Bachelor of Contemporary Music at the Australian Institute of Music, Brad has focused his time on teaching and business development at Ignite Music Dural. With a wide variety of skills and interests, Brad likes to explore and encourage each student's individual learning path through fun and engaging teaching techniques.

I am here to explore, encourage, and guide my students within their unique interests, aspirations, learning styles, and abilities. Most people do exceptionally better in a fun and stress-free environment." 

Maxwell - Drums / Guitar / Bass / Music production / Songwriting

Maxwell is a versatile performer/songwriter that has deep knowledge of music and his musical instruments, working/creating with a large variety of artists across genres. With bass as his most proficient instrument, Maxwell has had extensive experience on stage and in the studio as a session musician, songwriter and producer. Maxwell is currently studying a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and is eager to share his skills in Bass, Drums, Guitar, Music producing, and Songwriting with you.

Mitch - Vocals / Guitar

Mitch has been playing guitar and signing for over a decade now. He graduated with a Bachelor of Contemporary music at the Australian Institute of Music In 2020, and performs regularly with multiple artists and bands in and around NSW. Mitch is a massive fan of Blues, Rock and Indie music, and loves exploring new styles of music. Along side his music interests, Mitch is a big sports fan, particularly football and Formula 1.

 

Max - Drums

Max is an exceptionally skilled drummer who has been honing his craft for over 20 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every lesson he teaches. With a broad appreciation for a variety of genres, Max particularly enjoys Alternative and Prog Rock. He takes great pleasure in watching his students grow and succeed, and his positive attitude is infectious. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced drummer, Max is eager to work with you and help you achieve your goals. Join him in a lesson today and start rocking!

Katrina - Piano / Vocals

Katrina was lead singer for many years in a Rock band playing pubs & clubs all over NSW, and as vocal lead in an 18-piece Big Band Jazz ensemble. She also appeared on morning Television, singing with the morning show house band. Katrina has experience with choirs and vocal ensembles for both adults and children.

Katrina is qualified High School Music Teacher with Bachelor of Music and a Diploma of Education. Specialising in pitch accuracy, breath control and mouth/tongue placement, Katrina is a big believer in singers evolving their own vocal style whilst working to ensure the longevity of their voice. Katrina's experience makes her an ideal teacher for HSC preparation in either Performance or Musicology electives.

Boris - Guitar / Drums / Bass / Songwriting / Music Production

A student of music and the guitar for over 25 years, Boris' personalised approach to teaching focuses on bringing out a student's creativity and passion for music.  After completing his Bachelor of Music (AIM) and Master of Teaching (WSU), Boris has since worked as a full time musician and teacher for the past 15 years. Available for lessons on guitar, bass, drums, theory, songwriting/composition, music production. 

 
 

Christi - Violin / Piano / Beginner Cello

Christi has a real heart for teaching children and music. She has an undergraduate degree in music, a postgraduate degree in education and fourteen years experience tutoring violin and piano to children and adults of all ages. Christi is kind and patient, making her the perfect match for students of all levels, from beginner to advanced. She has performed in various musicals, weddings and orchestral gigs across Sydney and is so looking forward to putting her time and effort into passing on these talents to the students of Ignite Music. 

Cody - Vocals / Guitar

Cody is a super fun and talented vocalist and guitarist. Cody has a strong passion for vocal technique across a wide range of genres, as well as an amazing ability to train his students to have the confidence to take music as far as they wish to. Cody is highly skilled in training guitarists to feel comfortable to play and sing at the same time, as well as focus on their own technique and build the fundamentals to conquer the instrument in its own right. Ella - Flute

Ella is a passionate flautist who has been perfecting her craft for the past 9 years. In her final years of schooling, Ella recieved the Excellency in Musical Composition award and appeard on the Distinguished Achievers list for Muisc Extension. She has played with her local Symphony Wind Ensemble and Orchestra and enjoys the comraderie of playing in a group setting. Ella also has an interest in music composition and is looking forward to sharing her love of music to others.  

Alex - Guitar

Alex was such an exceptional student, we thought we should hire him. Being both a student and teacher, Alex has a unique outlook when teaching. His main goal is having a fun and engaging lesson for all his students! Aside from music, Alex has interests in motorsport, video games and movies. Favourite Superheroes? Definitely Iron Man, Spiderman, and Batman (sorry Black panther, Groot and Thor).

 

Justina - Piano / Harp

Justina is a music professional with over 20 years of expertise. She holds a degree in Classical Music Performance with a focus on harp and Music Pedagogy from The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Having also completed an exchange program at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the United Kingdom, Justina brings a diverse musical background.

Playing the harp for over 13 years, complemented by over 12 years of piano experience, Justina's musical journey spans many performances and recordings either solo, in a chamber ensemble, or with professional and amateur symphony orchestras internationally in Lithuania, across Europe, and in Australia.

A standout moment in her career was recording a CD with a renowned Lithuanian singer and the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London, following a tour in major Lithuanian arenas. As a certified teacher, Justina is trained to adapt individual teaching methods to cater to each student's needs and goals. Whether in a professional or amateur environment, she is very patient and loves witnessing her students grow, develop, and find joy in playing music.

Harry - Guitar / Piano / Trumpet

Harry was introduced into the musical world at the age of 8 where he began learning the trumpet. This provided him with the foundations of musicology and the desire to learn the guitar, piano and most recently, percussion. He has played in Jazz and Rock Bands throughout his musical career and has a Bachelor of Music and Sound Design from the University of Technology Sydney. Harry loves to share his joy and excitement for playing music and teaching others how jam along to their favourite songs!

Ben - Drums / Guitar / Bass

Ben is a passionate all rounder musician, playing across most genres with a focus on drums specifically, striving to help you develop your musicianship in an efficient manner while keeping you engaged and having fun!

He has extensive experience tutoring professionally across all age groups, both one on one and in groups. His main focuses include developing practice routines, helping to identify weaknesses and finding ways of expressing your creativity!

Ben excels in live performance, playing both guitar and drums across many Sydney venues. He has co-written and recorded drums for 2 EPS with his Neo-soul band "Sunset Place" as well as contributed guitar and production work to a vast array of other projects.

In his spare time, Ben loves to jam, boulder at climbing gyms and cook extravagant food at home! His favourite genres include electronic, hip hop, jazz, neo soul and punk rock

Laura - Piano

Laura, an accomplished pianist from Bogotá, Colombia, holds a Bachelor of Music from Pontifical Xavierian University, with a specialization in Piano Performance under the mentorship of Sergei Sichkov. She obtained a Master's Degree in Music Pedagogy from The International University of La Rioja (UNIR).

With a rich musical background, Laura has actively performed in concerts and collaborated with chamber groups, ensembles, and as a soloist, showcasing her versatile skills as an accompanist for various instruments and choirs.

Passionate about teaching, she has been dedicated to instructing piano to children since 2019, specializing in those as young as 3 years old and in preparing children under AMEB syllabus. Her teaching experience includes positions at Muso Music Academy and Juliana Reinat Piano Studio, where her students achieved notable success, winning first prizes in competitions such as The Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition for Young Artists and Fremantle Eisteddfod.

Jemma - Saxaphone / Clarinet

Jemma is a singer, performer, clarinettist, saxophonist, teacher and musician. Jemma has over 16 years of performance and instrument experience and completed a Bachelor of Music in 2018. Jemma loves to motivate students of all ages and inspire them to reach their full potential. Jemma teaches all genres of music, and she especially loves teaching jazz!

Polina - Piano / Vocals

Polina has loved music all her life and has pursued singing since she was 3. She graduated from University of Sydney / Conservatorium of Music studying bachelor of Music, majoring in contemporary music practice. She has also earned a high distinction within AMEB Rockschool Grade 8.

Polina started her early music career classically trained in vocals and piano, but now has progressed to more contemporary styles such as pop, rock, jazz and R&B. Polina also does quite a bit of songwriting and music production under the name ‘Lina Kova’ and performs with her band whenever she can. Book in to learn the skills you need, and have fun while you do it!
